Terms of Service
Last updated: September 25, 2026
Welcome to WordSwifts (https://wordswifts.com), a lyric word-guessing game run by Nate ("we", "us"). By using WordSwifts you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the site.
1. An unofficial fan project
WordSwifts is a free, non-commercial fan project. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Taylor Swift, TAS Rights Management, Republic Records, Big Machine Label Group, Universal Music Group, or any of their affiliates. All song titles, lyrics, album names and album artwork belong to their respective owners.
2. Lyrics and copyright
The game shows single words and short lyric excerpts for trivia, commentary and fan appreciation. If you are a rights holder and believe any content on WordSwifts infringes your rights, email hello@wordswifts.com with the details (what the content is, where it appears, and how to reach you) and we will review and, where appropriate, remove it promptly.
3. Who can play
You must be at least 13 years old to create an account. If you are under the age required to consent to online services where you live, you need a parent or guardian's permission. You can play as a guest without an account.
4. Guest play and accounts
- Guests are identified by a cookie on their device. Clearing your cookies or switching devices means starting over as a new guest.
- Accounts are optional. When you sign up or log in, any high scores recorded by that device's guest cookie are added to your account.
- You are responsible for keeping your password secure and for activity under your account. Give accurate information, and use one account per person.
- You can delete your account at any time from your profile page.
5. Fair play
Leaderboards only mean something if everyone plays fairly. You agree not to:
- use bots, scripts, or other automation to play or submit scores;
- tamper with the game's requests, exploit bugs, or submit scores you didn't earn;
- create multiple accounts or identities to manipulate leaderboards;
- interfere with the site's operation or security, or attempt to access other players' data.
We may remove scores, reset streaks, or suspend accounts that break these rules, at our discretion.
6. Leaderboard names and word reports
The name you enter for a high score is shown publicly. Don't use names that are offensive, hateful, impersonate someone else, or contain personal information such as phone numbers or addresses. We may edit, hide or remove any name.
When you report a word as unfair, keep the optional note on-topic. Reports help us improve the game and may be reviewed by us.
7. Leaderboards and prizes
The current leaderboard resets at the start of each month (Eastern Time), and past months are archived. Leaderboards are for fun. There are no prizes, and we may correct, hide or remove any score.
8. The service is provided "as is"
We work to keep WordSwifts accurate and available, but it is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including accuracy of lyrics, fitness for a particular purpose, or uninterrupted availability. We may change, suspend or discontinue any part of the site at any time.
9. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Nate will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or any loss of data or scores, arising from your use of WordSwifts. Some jurisdictions don't allow certain limitations, so some of this section may not apply to you.
10. Ending your use
You may stop using WordSwifts and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or end access for anyone who breaks these Terms.
11. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make significant changes, we will update the date above and, where appropriate, let signed-in players know. Continuing to use WordSwifts after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
12. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York, United States, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, except where the law of your country of residence requires otherwise.
